John Seed MA (Oxon) FRICS FAAV - Partner

Email: jrs@brownrural.com

John left Oxford in 1971 wondering how a degree in history and an award in bar football might equip him for a future in rural practice. Notwithstanding he embarked upon a private practice based career in the north west, including stints as Chairman of the Regional RICS Rural Practice division and President of the Cheshire Agricultural Valuers Association.

Coming from a family of lawyers, John took pride recently in giving presentations to the Law Society and Bar Council in London.

John is the third best musician in his home in Macclesfield Forest, where he lives with his wife ( a professional musician) and step son. With four daughters and three granddaughters living close by, it’s not clear why John spends so much time in his vegetable garden.
